Alternately, the phil&teds dots is a great single buggy from day 1 that can then easily adapt to take 2 (or 3!) Different configurations are possible. This is especially useful when you have a child in a car. The frame can be adapted to a wedgie, which allows for optimal lie-flat positioning. Suspension
The quality of the suspension in a 3-wheel double buggy is crucial to how it will be easy for you and your baby/s to push. A smooth ride is crucial as babies can feel every bump in the road, especially when it's in rough terrain such as grass or dirt roads. Some models also come with front wheels that lock to assist in maneuvering and navigating obstacles like curbs.
Some models come with air-filled tyres that provide a fantastic all-terrain adventure, but they could be susceptible to punctures, so make sure you have spares in the trunk. Other models use gel or foam tyres that are designed to take the bumps and are less prone to punctures, however, you may find them a little stiff and uncomfortable on your child's back if you decide to run.

There are models that fold flat, stand up (as though they were in the form of a pushchair) and also open to reveal a more umbrella-style folding, with an operated break. In general, the more wheels a buggy comes with, the easier it will be to navigate on rough terrain. This is especially true if the wheels are larger than the typical size. You will have more stability and it is less likely that you will be forced to tip over or flip your child.
